In my old wooden cabin up in the hills of south east London I make banjos, canjos, cigarbox guitars and other things that go twang. Every instrument is fully hand made in the traditional way with a minimal use of power tools and usually using reclaimed timber (that way i can use exotic hard woods and sleep well at night). So if you are interested in buying a high quality unique instrument keep checking here or contact me if you would like to commission something. flatfootjohnny@hotmail.com

Tin Uke
Here are some (slightly out of focus) pics of a tin Uke I've been working on...
The body is a vintage Woolworths tin. The neck is maple with walnut fretboard.
Walnut / maple stripe under the fret board.

Dirty Magazine
Here's a quick reminder that I was lucky enough to get an article in the last ever Dirty Magazine. The magazine only ran to 4 issues due to escalating costs of printing, paper, ink - you name it - and they didn't want to scrimp on quality.
It sure is a great mag - if you love everything hand made, rock n roll, old and shitty then its the one for you. I can tell you this is a high quality, full colour mag, full of really cool stuff!!!
So what are you waiting for ? Get yourselves a copy at http://www.dirtymagazine.co.uk/singleissues.html before they run out... guaranteed to become collectors items... I can promise ya!
Tell em Flatfoot Johnny sent ya!

Can You Dig It?
A few months ago I recorded, for the very first time, for a couple of allotment holders / comedy musical perfomers called Jo Stephenson and Dan Woods. I played gourd banjo on "Mary the Cabbage Girl" and they tried to grow some gourds for me... not sure if either were very successful... I struggled with the banjo playing and they struggled with the gourd growing... oh well it was a great experience. If you want to purchase the album then check out their blog at http://can-you-dig-it.co.uk/
Another tackhead grain measure banjo complete
